Get Certified with MMI!
Starts September 2026
Price: $2,495
Small group cohort of 6 people
We've updated our certification program for 2026-2027 and centered it around a cohort-based clinical mentorship process.
Students who complete the Moving Mountain Institute (MMI) Foundations I and II Craniosacral Therapy (CST) trainings are eligible to complete the Clinical Mentorship Certification option.
Becoming certified emphasizes to your clients or patients your commitment to your studies. Increasingly, we see folks claiming that they practice CST when their only exposure was a short unit in massage school. Certification highlights your commitment to the work.

Our program is centered around a cohort-based clinical mentorship process.
This program represents "the next step" for folks interested in evolving their clinical craniosacral therapy skills. Itis designed to bridge participants' classroom learning and practice with the real world of clinical care, which as we all know is dynamic and unpredictable.
The program is designed around 3 Clinical Mentorship rotations that begin late winter/early spring at the MMI classroom space. Participants will bring their own clients/patients to the MMI classroom, which will be set up as a community clinic. Participants will treat two patients per clinical rotation meeting and have the opportunity to consult with Michael on any aspects of the case and/or treatment. Each meeting includes a brief and debrief as well as time to practice technique refinements that arose during the clinic rotation.
In preparation for the clinical mentorship rotations, participants will engage in a multi-factorial learning process that involves both individualized study and cohort-based learning:
- Self-paced study of anatomy and principles/techniques. This occurs asynchronously online. We encourage folks to get together with cohort members to do this work.
- Cohort-based learning that offers you a container of peers with whom you can practice and grow your skills.
- Four in-person class session with Michael and the MMI team. These will be designed by each cohort based on goals and needs that arise as you go through the other parts of the process.
- Two phases of case-based work. You will go through a series of practice sessions and case studies with pre-determined forms to guide your reflection on your process. We will debrief these experiences as a group.
- Skills check and final practicum with an MMI facilitator at the beginning and end of the process, respectively.
- Research Project: Intended to help you focus on an aspect of the work that is interesting to you. There will be a 15-minute presentation to the cohort, MMI team, and community. We encourage you to do this in a way that works for you!
Prerequisite: To enroll in the Clinical Mentorship Certification program you must have completed both Craniosacral Therapy Foundations I and Craniosacral Therapy Foundations II courses.
